At Lapwing, we know how important it is to get the right tools to the right place, at the right time. Wherever possible, we deliver using our own vans and drivers, giving us greater control over delivery times and the care taken with your order. Our drivers know the sites they deliver to, take pride in doing the job properly, and aim to make every delivery straightforward and reliable. Below you’ll find everything you need to know about how our delivery service works.
Standard Delivery
Our standard service offers next working day delivery for orders placed by 5pm. Delivery for all orders over £250 (ex VAT) is free of charge. Orders under £250 (ex VAT) incur a delivery charge from £10, depending on size and location.
Delivery Times
Standard delivery: Next working day for orders placed by 5pm in our own van range.
Highlands, Islands & remote areas: 2–3 working days.
Non-stock items: Please allow an extra 3–4 working days.
Carriage Charges
Delivery charges vary depending on your location and the size of your order:
Standard items: From £10
Bulk items: From £25
We’ll always confirm any charges at checkout so there are no surprises.
Upgraded Deliveries
If you need your order earlier than standard times, we offer upgraded delivery. Charges apply depending on the requested time and location.
Service Areas
We deliver across the UK, with 85% of orders handled by our own van service and friendly drivers who know your sites. For locations outside our van range, we use a trusted courier to ensure your order still arrives safely and on time.
Returns Information
At Lapwing, we want you to be confident in every order. If something goes wrong, or if you need to return items, our Returns process is simple and fair. Whether it’s our mistake or an issue with your order, we’ll work with you to resolve it quickly and get you the right products.
Lapwing Error
If we make a mistake during your order or delivery, we’ll happily take the goods back.
Please check your order on delivery and notify us within 48 hours
Items must be unused and in the condition you received them.
Customer Error
Returns are accepted from customers with a registered trade account if:
The items are in a condition suitable for restocking.
Collection can be arranged within 24 hours, and within our own van delivery range.
A new order is placed, allowing a van to collect your return at the same time.
Please note: Specials or customised products cannot be returned.
Collection Charges
Collection charges vary depending on your location and the size of your order:
Small/standard items: £10–£30
Bulk items: £45–£230
